Pictured here are the remnants of  wells and foundations of small houses that were a part of the settlement that was once a thriving Community.  You can see these by crossing the creek to the west side and following the trails.

We've spent many full days exploring and photographing Bachelors Grove and the area surrounding the cemetery. A place that has such a dark reputation of death and despair is simply put,  full of life.

The lush Forest Preserves are packed with winding trails through the woods and provide an excellent opportunity to take  in nature at its finest.. Here we have shared from our days at the Grove photographs of memorable scenic beauty and the strange things you see in BG.

Graffiti from 2013

There one day. Gone the next.

It still does happen on occasion, but no where as in the times past. And that's a  good thing.

Thanks to some good friends and some            "elbow grease".
